Company History

Mountain Organic Foods is located in the beautiful Hood River Valley in Oregon where Ken Newman and his family own and operate an organic pear orchard. Since the first harvest in 2003, Ken had been looking for ways to offer healthy organic products directly to consumers. He enlisted the help of his longtime friend Craig Gass, and the idea became a company: Mountain Organic Foods.

The first product offered by Mountain Organic Foods is the Bear Fruit Bar, an organic fruit bar containing only healthy, certified organic Bear Essential Ingredients™.
